Amidst high tariffs imposed by the US, the government has formed a committee to address tax and export clearance issues faced by manufacturing units. The committee, comprising representatives from various ministries and industry bodies, will examine existing tax structures and procedures, identify sector-specific challenges, and recommend global best practices to enhance export competitiveness.
The companies have come to an understanding whereby Merck will offer its full suite of products and services, including high-purity electronic materials, advanced gas and chemical delivery systems, turnkey fab infrastructure services, and its Material Intelligence solutions powered by AI, for Tata Electronics’ upcoming Fab in Dholera, Gujarat.

Bengaluru-based Neuralzome Cybernetic raises $2.4M pre-seed funding to scale its Robot-as-a-Service platform, aiming to make autonomous robotics accessible across sectors like agriculture and manufacturing.
“This funding from Elevation Capital and General Catalyst will allow us to build mega factories and enhance our technology while continuing to deliver exceptional value to our global customers,” said Vishal R. Sanghavi, founder and CEO, Jeh Aerospace.
In the 18 months since its seed round, the company has grown to over 100 engineers and technicians, delivered more than 100,000 flight-critical components, and secured $100 million in long-term contracts with aerospace firms.
Reliance Defence has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Germany’s Diehl Defence to manufacture Vulcano 155mm precision-guided munitions in India. A new facility in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, will support this production, aligning with the government’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat goals. The partnership could generate ₹10,000 crore in revenue and marks Reliance’s fourth major global defence collaboration. With over 50% indigenous value addition, the deal strengthens India’s defence.
Approval has been granted for the setting up of two SEZ facilities in Gujarat and Karnataka with a total investment of ₹13,100 crore
