EndureAir Systems, a Noida-based deep-tech UAV and aerial robotics company, has raised Rs 25 crores in a funding round led by IAN Alpha Fund, with participation from IAN Angel Fund. The company said the fresh capital will be used to scale its drone capabilities for the defence ecosystem, expand into enterprise markets, and accelerate the development of high-altitude logistics and next-generation aerial robotics platforms.
Founded in 2018 by IIT Kanpur’s Professor of Aerospace Engineering Abhishek and his former students Rama Krishna and Chirag Jain, EndureAir has positioned itself as a research-driven drone manufacturer developing both hardware and software entirely in-house. The company holds eight patents and draws on over 15 years of rotorcraft research, giving it an edge in producing rugged, mission-ready UAVs suited to India’s diverse terrain.
EndureAir’s UAVs are already in field deployment. Its flagship heavy-lift logistics platform, Sabal, with payload capacity ranging from 10 to 70 kilograms, has demonstrated high-altitude operations and is being used by the Indian Army’s Eastern Command. Its long-endurance platform Vibhram was part of Telangana’s Medicine from the Sky project, delivering vaccines to remote regions. The nano-UAV series Alakh has been deployed in multiple disaster response operations, including the Chamoli cloudburst, the Silkyara Tunnel rescue, and earthquake relief efforts in Turkey.
The company is also collaborating with Bharat Electronics (BEL) on developing high-altitude logistics drones and has partnered with Bhutan’s Druk Holding & Investments (DHI) group for pilot UAV-based logistics missions to monasteries in remote locations.
“As we continue to develop the next generation of deep-tech aerial robotics for the defence ecosystem, we are dedicated to promoting enterprise adoption of UAV technology,” said Rama Krishna, Co-founder and CEO of EndureAir. “With the help of this fundraise, we can move faster to create strong, indigenous systems capable of performing in the toughest environments.”
Sarika Saxena, Managing Partner at IAN Alpha Fund, said the investment highlights India’s emerging strength in indigenous UAV technology. “EndureAir embodies the very best of India’s deep-tech potential. By transforming cutting-edge research into powerful solutions, they are addressing critical needs in defence, enterprise, and disaster response,” she said.
Headquartered in Noida, EndureAir has evolved from an academic research project at IIT Kanpur into a mission-driven enterprise working across defence, logistics, surveillance, and disaster relief. With the latest funding, the company aims to cement its leadership in high-altitude UAV logistics while broadening its enterprise solutions and reinforcing India’s standing in global UAV innovation.
